This is a two-day practical course, which will help delegates understand the key elements of the different approaches to Ex-Ante Risk analysis and choose those that are best suited for the needs of the funds for which they are responsible. The course will show how these can be used in combination to gain insight into the investment management process, focusing on the process of creating and interpreting rather than just looking at the risk measures.
This course will be about putting theory into practice, enabling delegates to get as much as possible, and needed, out of a risk report. Real data and real case studies are used to ensure that delegates get maximum benefit from each day. This both cements the training and also draws out any problem areas that people may be experiencing.
Who is it for?
This course is for experienced performance and risk analysts and has been put together on the assumption that delegates already have a good understanding of the risk measures available – and who are now ready to move to a more demanding level, where they can help determine the choice and use of tools available.
As well as looking at the strengths of the standard methodologies, this course will also look at their weaknesses and when they need to be supplemented by more advanced techniques. Delegates will be required to build their own risk models and then interpret and present their own risk reports. Delegates will work in small groups on practical exercises with a computer provided for each group.
Who is it not for?
Those people who are new to performance measurement, and rarely deal with statistics may find that this course is not suited for them; new performance analysts or those with some basic experience should attend OsneyMedia’s market leading Introduction or Intermediate courses.
